The EZ Baccarat Dragon 7 side bet can be beaten with a true JSTAT Count (2-9=+1 and 10-K=-2) of +4 with less 8′s or 9′s left than normal. Also, when two or more 8′s or 9′s per deck than average (an 8 or 9 averages every 6.5 cards) are depleted with an even JSTAT Count, gives us the Dragon 7 advantage. You can confirm these numbers on this Wizard of Odds link http://wizardofodds.com/games/baccarat/dragon-bet/. Card counting the EZ Baccarat Panda 8 side bet can also be beaten with a JSTAT true count (the true count is the running count divided by the number of decks that havent yet been dealt) of -10.

A Dragon 7 side bet win is paid 40 -1. A three card winning banker seven gets the dough. The Panda 8 side bet pays 25 -1 with a player three card winning eight. Expect a large swing of variance, so bring your patience and the bankroll to weather the storms.

The beauty of the JSTAT Count is that it can be used at blackjack card counting. At the Lucky Ladies side bet, it dominates. It also can beat the Dragon Bonus side bet at baccarat or mini baccarat. Good Luck to all!!!

Now have you tried this with actual money before you wrote this out or is this from your paper testing?

Whether it's blackjack or baccarat, I've always confirmed my card counting methods on paper before hitting the tables.

Can somebody please explain how card counting / tracking works for ANY Baccarat side bet?? I fully understand counting with BJ, game is rich in 10's and ACES or otherwise then you are more likely. With Baccarat there are so many other variables, such as accompanying cards. Take the Dragon side bet as an example. Not much point tracking the 9's and 8's as the Dragon bonus is not paid for a natural score, the 30-1 pay-off has to be for a 3 card combination while the other side needs to hit zero, so what are you counting??

Ditto for the Banker on 3 and Player pulls a 3rd card 8 for a 200-1 pay-off. So you might know the deck has many 8's and 3's at the end of the shoe, so what, the Banker has to total 3 (picture and 3, or any of numerous card combinations to total three), then the Player needs a total less than 6 then pull the 8.

Not only do need to have good insight to what is left (easily achieved), but need to be extremely lucky which card falls to which side and in what order. World of difference from BJ. I'm sure the same applies to the other side bets that people mention are countable (Panda). So what am I missing here, because when I read that these Baccarat side-bets are countable. Just as much as I would love to be able to predict a pair and get a 11-1 payoff, I just am not seeing it.

How to count the Panda 8.

It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.

Here is my general explanation for any side bet. Card Counting Analysis, 101.

For the Dragon, it benefits the player as 8's and 9's leave the shoe because there will be fewer naturals leading to more hands that use 3 cards.

I shall bear it in mind when I go back to the GoldCoast.

I think you are speaking about a different dragon bet. The one in question is a wager that the bank will win with a 3 card 7, it pays 40/1
